Lantern Love

I am a shopper at heart.  I enjoy is the challenge of finding items that are unique and beautiful.  I’ve spent years happily scouring second-hand shops, flea markets, and auction houses to find beautiful one-of-a-kind treasures.   I am envious of anyone who earns a living sourcing unique items for interiors.

It is no surprise that I have a gazillion online shopping sites saved in my favorites folder.  It is not quite the same as shopping in person, but your options are increased beyond measure.  One of my favorite online sites is 1stdibs.  I visit 1stdibs weekly.  They always have interesting and beautiful items.  Today, I am looking at this gorgeous lantern light offered by H.M Luther Antiques.

If you were making this lantern today, would you use brass?  I recently read an article that said that brass and in particular, brushed brass, is trending.  What are your thoughts?
